Part of the initial survey of the plant was a focus on the marks and works left by trespassing graffiti writers and artists over the preceding 10 years. The site was unusual in that it was visited by only a handful of graffiti artists, and contained little of the common juvenile or hate-based imagery. Instead, much of the spray paint work found at the site showed restraint, playfulness, and social consciousness. Much of it was also highly technically accomplished.
